It’s hard to imagine anyone utilizing the adidas Y-3 Hayex High for an actual trek into the woods, but the hiking-inspired silhouette, one that’s referenced Clarks Wallbees and followed that up with a crazy “Zebra” pattern, gets a more subdued look this time around. Well, collab is kind of a loose term here as the partner in question is Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 range, which has of course been working with the Three Stripes for years now. The sneakers stick with a muted palette and feature a mostly white mesh upper with Yohji’s name printed onto the side’s stripes. Unlike with recent Y-3 collections, it seems like with this set of shoes, Mr. Yamamoto is choosing to go with mostly basic colorways. This collection consists of a black denim Y-3 Honja High, a black Y-3 Kazuhiri, and an all red Y-3 Honja Low, just to name a few of the models.
